The Location of Artifacts

An artifact is defined as including but not limited to any of the following:

When planning a deployment, it is important to place artifacts in the correct location.

For a scale out deployment (multiple machines hosting listeners, dispatchers and SEPs), it is necessary to put these files into a central location.

A central location can be the SQL database or a network drive. If placing COBOL data files onto a network drive, file-share should be used to provide data integrity.

We recommend placing artifacts into a data store hosted in the database, where they can be accessed centrally.

Further information on defining program and data locations can be found at Defining Program and Data Locations.

Further information on defining the location of the JES Catalog can be found at To Configure a JES Region's Catalog Location.
