To Create or Edit a Group

When you organize resource definitions into groups, you should consider keeping resources together that have something in common. For example, you might keep all resources related to an application in the same group. In some cases, CICS requires you to put certain resources in the same group

  1. Open the Resource Definitions file in the editor.
  2. Select the General View tab.
  3. Select and expand Groups.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To edit an existing group, select it from the list.
    • To create a new group, right-click Groups and choose Add. Then in the Group name field of the Add New Group dialog box, type a name for the group and click OK.
The group appears in the list. The group's properties display in the Properties window.
  5. Edit properties as needed to configure the group.
  6. Choose File > Save, or use the File Save icon to save the resource definitions file.

    The resource definitions are saved.

Cold-start regions that use this configuration for changes to take effect.
