The implementation of the EXEC CICS ASSIGN, EXEC CICS INQUIRE FILE, and EXEC CICS INQUIRE PROGRAM APIs in this release does not fully support many of the options for those APIs. Some features of these APIs are not applicable, such as options regarding mainframe limitations with 24-bit addressing. Others refer to features not yet implemented. For these options, Enterprise Server for .NET returns a configurable default value.
Some applications depend on receiving a specific value for these options, and this can be different from the default returned value. For these applications, you can configure the return value. The value you configure applies to the region configuration, that is the configured value applies to only those programs running in the region.
