To paint a Savekey field

Restriction: This topic applies only when the AppMaster Builder AddPack has been installed, and applies only to Windows platforms.
  1. In the Screen Painter, paint entry field on your screen, giving it the following attributes:

    Attribute

    Setting

    Intensity

    Dark

    Type

    Protected

  2. Save the screen and exit the Screen Painter.
  3. Start Online Express for the program that corresponds to the screen in which you painted the field, and follow the steps in the To define a Savekey.
  4. In Online Express, define all control actions and database calls for the program.
  5. Click File > Savekey Specification. The Savekey Data window appears.
  6. To inform Online Express that you painted a savekey field on your screen, specify which fields to use for storing savekey data as follows:

    If your screen displays...

    Select a screen field from...

    Only a single occurrence of data with the Update, Delete, or Next action

    Non Repeated Savekey

    Only a repeated record block with the Update, Delete, Forward, or Backward action

    Repeated Savekey

    Both of the above

    Either Non Repeated Savekey and Repeated Savekey

    Or For All Savekeys

  7. Click OK.
