The z/Server configuration utility has two modes of operation:
- Creating a new XML configuration file. The interface takes you through the steps for specifying the basic holder, STC scheduler and user server parameters. Once you have specified the basic configuration file you can choose to:
- Upload the file to a mainframe location or you can save it locally in your browser's download directory.
- Edit your initial STC scheduler configuration by modifying its parameters or by adding advanced or custom parameters. You can also add additional STC or CEA schedulers before saving locally or to a mainframe location.
- Downloading an XML configuration file from a mainframe location. Once you have downloaded the configuration file you can choose to:
- Upload the file to an alternative mainframe location or you can save it locally in your browser's download directory.
- Review the downloaded configuration file. This is performed in stages:
- Review the existing holder. This allows you to modify the existing holder parameters or to add additional advanced or custom parameters.
- Review the existing schedulers. This allows you to modify the existing scheduler or to add a new STC or CEA scheduler. When you are reviewing a scheduler you can choose to review and amend its user server parameters.
- Once you have reviewed the holder and schedulers you can upload the file to a mainframe location or you can save it locally in your browser's download directory.
