Defining a connection

If the Remote Systems window is not displayed, click Window > Show View > Remote Systems.
Restriction: You can only have one MFA Server for z/OS connection defined per workspace. If you require a new connection, you must edit the existing connection, or delete the connection and define a new one.
  1. In the Remote Systems window, click Define a connection to remote system (Define a connection to remote system). The New Connection window appears.
  2. In the General group, choose MFA Server for z/OS, then click Next. Now define the connection details.
  3. Enter the appropriate information for the following options:
    Option Description
Host name The name or IP address of the server
Connection name The name of the connection
Description The description of the connection (optional)
  4. Check Verify host name if you want to test that the connection is valid before it is added.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Enter the port number to connect to, then click Finish. If you checked Verify host name, the connection is verified: if successful, the connection appears in the Remote Systems window; if unsuccessful, correct the details, using the Back and Next buttons to navigate the wizard, then click Finish.
