When you compile an IMS project, Enterprise Developer generates .mid, .mod, .dif and .dof files, which are analogous to those created on a mainframe. However, in Enterprise Developer, the .dif and .dof files do not generate hexadecimal file names. Instead, they generate character-based file names. In addition, the file mfsname.mfsx is generated and used by Enterprise Developer to control build dependencies.
All files are created in the current directory, or when specified, in the folder specified in the MFS Path field on the IMS tab in your project properties.
