We next configure this enterprise server to send all I/O requests for all datasets accessed by applications running in it to the Fileshare server.
JES Program Path | The path for the directory containing executable files to be run by your JCL jobs. |
System Catalog | The path and file name of the system catalog. This is a file that holds the details of data files, their attributes and locations. |
Default Allocated Dataset Location | The
$$ format of the Fileshare server to use. In this example, also include the name of the subdirectory you created previously; for example:
\$\$server1\datasets |
System Procedure Library | The set of cataloged PDS data set names that will be searched to resolve JCL procedure names. |
You now need to start FSDEMO. You will find steps in the next section more convenient if you start it from the command line rather than from ES Admin. So, in your application command prompt, enter:
casstart /rFSDEMO (Windows)
casstart -rFSDEMO (UNIX)
