A listener's conversation type is shown in the Conversation Type column on the listener configuration page.
The available configuration settings for a listener are grouped its conversation type.
Some conversation types use TCP/IP protocol, and some use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format. The format that the conversation uses is shown on the Legacy Micro Focus Application Format checkbox on the Edit Listener page. With the Custom Format type, you can choose whether or not to use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
