Temporary File Path

Set the temporary path to identify where the system should write temporary files used by the XDB Server, such as temporary files that are written when a sort operation overflows the allocated Sort Space Size. Enter a path to a specific drive (volume) and directory. This directory must be accessible to the XDB Server.

To set the parameter on UNIX systems:

  1. Press F2 Location and Path Selection.
  2. Press F2 Temporary File Path.
  3. Enter the path and press Enter.

To set the parameter on Windows 2000:

  1. Click the Paths tab.
  2. Enter the path in the Temporary File Path text box.
