Working directory

If you have not started Compare and Synchronization Monitor from the command line specifying a configuration file, filter file, or log file, Compare and Synchronization Monitor uses a default location of the current working directory for these files.

The default files are:

File Description
mfmon2.cfg Contains the monitor and synchronization rules
monrule2.ini Contains the filters that can be applied to rules
mfmon2.log Contains an audit trail of synchronization activity

If these files do not already exist, they are created when you add a rule or filter, or synchronize.

Use the Change Directory option to set your own folder to use each time Compare and Synchronization Monitor is started. If you have multiple versions of these files, in different locations, you can also use this option to switch between locations and synchronize the different sets of rules.
