Releases any existing copies of the specified called program from memory.

This transaction releases any existing copies of the specified called program from memory. (A called program is one that is not invoked through LINK or XCTL.) If a PPT entry exists for the program-name specified, an error message is displayed and the program is not released. (In this case you should use transaction CPMT NEWCOPY.) This transaction is valid only in an environment where logical cancel support is enabled in the COBOL run-time system.
