Debugging Using the Embedded Rumba Mainframe Display

Depending on the TN3270 debugging settings you have set and on the last state of the mainframe display, the display either launches automatically when debugging starts, or you need to launch it manually.

If the embedded TN3270 mainframe display is already open and is connected to a different server, when you start debugging your application, you receive a notification asking you to confirm the server switch. You can turn this notification on or off from the TN3270 display options in the IDE.

The IDE preserves the last state, size, and position of the embedded Rumba Mainframe Display:

You debug Mainframe Subsystem applications using the Visual Studio debugger. When debugging ends, the embedded mainframe display closes.
