All Enterprise Servers
When you add an enterprise server instance using Enterprise Server Administration, configure it as follows:
- Set the
Working Mode to
32-bit.
- Set the
Server Type to
Micro Focus Enterprise Server with Mainframe Subsystem Support.
- If you want to be able to see the console daemon when you start the enterprise server, check
Show Local Console.
- For JCL-enabled enterprise servers, uncheck
Create TN3270 listener.
- For CICS-enabled enterprise servers, check
Create TN3270 listener and specify a port.
JCL Support
On the
Server > Properties > MSS > JES > General tab:
- Uncheck
Create TN3270 listener.
- Specify the path to your program files as the
JES Program Path and the
Default Allocated Dataset Location.
- Specify the path and filename of the
catalog.dat file as the
System Catalog.
- Specify
SYS1.PROCLIB for the
System Procedure Library.
From the
Server > Properties > MSS > JES > Initialize tab,
Add an initiator, specifying a
Name and
Class of your choice.
CICS Support
On the
Server > Properties > General tab, type the following into the
Configuration Information field:
[ES-Environment]
ES_MFASM_SUPPORT=Y
On the
Server > Properties > MSS > CICS tab:
- Set the
System Initialization Table to
ASMIVP.
- Check
Mainframe Subsystem Support enabled.
- In the
Transaction Path and
File Path fields, specify the location of your program executables, which is your Visual Studio project directory.
- In the
Map Path field, specify the path to your BMS modules (.mod files). This is usually the
\bin\x86\debug subdirectory under
your Visual Studio project directory or
the directory containing your program executables.
- Point the
Resource Definition File Path to your resource definition (.rdf) file.
This is the
system subdirectory you created in your Visual Studio project.
