The product now contains a command line version of MFASM, the mainframe assembler emulator for IBM High Level Assembler programs, that allows users to create assembler executables or data tables within the Visual Studio environment. The MFASM component is an early adopter release intended to provide a test environment for COBOL applications to call needed assembler subroutines which have already been developed and debugged in other environments. This test environment is for Enterprise Developer only and does not include a debug facility for Assembler. Assembler executables do not run in production environments.
