The
Dependency Paths page in your COBOL project properties enables you to specify the paths to the directories in which this development system searches for copybook files.
- Assembler Macro Paths
- This page enables you to add folders containing copybook or macro files to the SYSLIB environment variable. The dependency paths are arranged in the order the IDE searches them. You can rearrange the list to change the order in which copybook\macro files are searched for copybooks or macro files.
Note: The dependency paths you specify here take precedence over the paths specified in the SYSLIB environment variable in the
m370ctl.cfg file, even if the
mf370ctl.cfg file exists in the current project folder.
By default, the IDE searches for copybooks and macro files in the following locations in priority order:
- If there are dependency paths set on this page, the search order is as follows:
- the project folder
- the paths in the
Copybook/Macro Paths section in the order listed
- the
include folder in your
Enterprise Developer installation
- If no dependency paths are set on this page, the SYSLIB dependency paths specified in the
m370ctl.cfg configuration file are used instead.
- COBOL Copybook Paths
- This page enables you to specify the paths to the directories in which this development system searches for copybook files. Setting paths on this page sets the COBCPY environment variable, which is appended to the COBCPY setting in the Registry.
- IMS Copy Paths
- This page enables you to specify the search paths IMS copybook files. This sets the IMSCPY environment variable.
