Sample Programs

We supply a number of demonstration programs to help you better understand some of the concepts involved when working with COBOL projects in Eclipse.

Windows: You use the Samples Browser tool to access the available samples. Click Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer > Samples > Mainframe Samples or > Mainframe Samples.

The demonstration programs are installed in subfolders under %PUBLIC%\Documents\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\Samples by default.

UNIX: The sample programs are contained in a .jar file that you import into your Eclipse workspace. There are also several demonstrations that we supply that contain a makefile or scripts to enable compilation from a command line.
