Linked Element Type

Linked element types are specific element types provided by function packages, that link to resources outside of AWM. Function packages can extend the functionality of these element types in several ways.

To define a new linked element type in your AWM model, you have to add the corresponding function package to your model first. Then create a new element type by selecting the linked element type from the function package.

Linked element type functions (but are not limited to):

• Display dynamic custom element icons.

• Extend the context menu of elements dynamically.

• Synchronize elements with the target platform in real time.
