Configure an MSS-enabled enterprise server

  1. In Eclipse, choose Window > Show View > Other. The Show View dialog box appears.
  2. In the Show view dialog box, select Micro Focus > Server Explorer. A Server Explorer tab appears in the Views pane.
  3. Right-click the Local node and choose Open Administration Page. The Enterprise Server Administration page appears as a tab in the Editor pane.
  4. On the Home page of Enterprise Server Administration, click Add at the bottom of the table of servers.
  5. On the first Add Server page, type PLIDEMO in the Server Name field.
  6. Make sure 32-bit is selected in the Working Mode section, and click Next.
  7. Select Micro Focus Enterprise Server with Mainframe Subsystem Support, and click Next.
  8. Under Creation Options, clear the Create TN3270 listener check box.
  9. Type the following in the Configuration Information field:
    [ES-Environment]
    ES_PLI_SUPPORT=Y
    MFPLI_CONFIG_DIR=c:\tutorials\PLIJCLdemo
    Note: The value for MFPLI_CONFIG_DIR must match the location being used for this tutorial. If using a location other than shown in the tutorial, be sure to set the value to the location being used.
  10. Enter a meaningful Description, such as "JCL server for tutorial".
  11. Click Add.

The Home page displays, and a row for the new enterprise server is visible in the table of servers.
