Configure Terminal Settings Dialog Box (UTS)

Getting there

Open a UTS terminal session.

Open the Document Settings dialog box.

The steps depend on your user interface mode.

Ribbon or InfoConnect Browser	With a session open, from the Quick Access Toolbar, click .
TouchUX	With a session open, tap the Gear icon and then select Document Settings.
Classic MDI	With a session open, go to Options > Settings

Under Terminal Configuration, click Configure Terminal Settings.

From this dialog box, you can set input and display options for your UTS terminal.

Display

Display / Device type

Specify the terminal type to emulate.

Terminal Screen

Pages	The number of pages to use. A page is a data buffer from the host that consists of a specific number of columns and rows. The host application determines how many pages it sends to your desktop. If you are not sure how many pages to specify here, contact your host administrator.
Rows	The number of rows per page.
Columns	The number of columns per page.
Capture area	SOE To Cursor - Capture only the data from the last start-of-entry (SOE) character to the cursor (the remaining data is not captured). If you're using scroll-mode applications in Demand and select SOE To Cursor, set the block factor on the host to 1. Full Page - Capture the entire page (useful for data that appears in forms). New Host Data - Capture each new buffer received from the host (this is useful for data that scrolls). If you click New Host Data, set the block factor to the number of rows in the session. (If you lose data, set the block factor to a lower number and try again until you get satisfactory results.) To specify the block factor, transmit the following command: @@ blck x where x is the number to use. For additional information, contact your host administrator.
Beeps on system	Sets the maximum number of beeps to sound when the host sends a message and Repeat Alarm is enabled (in the Attributes section of this dialog box). A value of 0 turns off the beep, and 99 causes the session to beep until you issue a MessageWait command. (For example, if you're using the PEPWIN.EKM keyboard map, you would press CTRL+M to turn off the beep.)

Control

Print mode	Specifies how to handle spaces and carriage returns when you issue a host print command: FORM - Print spaces instead of protected fields. PRNT - Omit any trailing spaces and add a carriage return at the end of each row. XPAR - Print trailing spaces at the end of each row (no carriage return is added).
Transmit mode	ALL - Transmit all data, including Field Control Characters (FCCs). CHAN - Transmit only unprotected data and its FCCs. VAR - Transmit only changed data and its FCCs
Transmit expanded FCCs	NONE - Convert expanded Field Control Characters (FCCs) into the closest corresponding regular FCCs before transmitting them. COLOR - Transmit expanded color FCCs to the host. EXPANDED - Transmit expanded FCCs (such as protection and video attributes) to the host.
Destructive space	Select this option to delete the character at the cursor location when you press the space bar. If you clear this option, pressing the space bar moves the cursor to the right without deleting any characters
Display control chars	Select this option to display all control characters with decimal values less than 32, such as line feed, form feed, and tab characters. If you clear this option, these characters will not appear in the session window.
Extended Control Page	Select this option to enable the Extended Control Page, which is used for file transfers to System 80 hosts.
Enable system response mode	Select this option to be able to enter system mode.
Save host Control Page changes	Select this option to save any changes the host sends to the Control Page or Extended Control Page during a session. When you next open the session, the latest changes from the host will remain in effect for the new session. If you clear this option, the host changes will not be saved, and the Control Page or Extended Control Page will reflect the settings it had before the host changed them.
Upper case only	Display only uppercase characters in the session window.
Reverse video status line	Reverse the foreground and background colors of the status line. NOTE:This option is enabled only if the session is configured to emulate a UTS 20 or UTS 40 terminal.

Attributes

Screen alarm	Select this option to sound a beep whenever the cursor moves to the eighth position before the end of the row and when the cursor reaches any position on the last row.
Repeat alarm	Select this option to repeat the alarm sound whenever the session has a host message to display. The alarm will repeat up to the maximum number of beeps specified for Beeps on System (in the Terminal Screen section of this dialog box).
Ignore host color on status line	Select this option to use the status line colors specified in the theme used by this session rather than any colors specified by the host.
Enable blink
Override color FCCs	Select this option to ensure that the colors specified in the theme used by this session will take effect.If you clear this option, the session will display all colors as they are defined by the host.
