Use this dialog box to configure an INT1 channel (also referred to as a path). Configure these settings in the correct order, starting first with the tab, and finally the tab.

Type the name you want to use to identify the host connection (up to 12 characters) and then click the button to add the selected item to the list. (Use the button to delete a selected item from the list.) |

Specify the network model type for the connection ( or ) |

Type the IP address of the Distributed Communications Processor (DCP) or Host LAN Controller (HLC), or type the domain name of the host (up to 63 characters). If the host is in a different domain that the PC, type the domain name of the host using the following syntax: hostname.domain.type where type is the three-character type of the domain (such as com or edu). |

Select this option if the host and computers will communicate over a TCP/IP network. This is the most widely used networking protocol. |

Select this option if the host and computers will communicate over an Open System Interconnection network. |

Type the name for host address (IP address or domain if using a TCP/IP network or NSAP if using an OSI network). |
TCPIP-connection type
Click the option that indicates how to connect to the host.

Select this if you use a Distributed Communications Processor (DCP) that can only accept host connection requests. Note: For most connections, select Host LAN Controller (HLC). The DCP settings only apply to Unisys systems that use front-end processor hardware to control connections. |

Select this if you use a DCP that can accept host connection requests at other DCPs or HLCs. |

Select this if you use a Host LAN Controller. |
NOTE:If you click
or , you must include a TSAP when you configure an environment that uses this connection.
