The Classic MDI interface provides the familiar look-and-feel of past InfoConnect releases. When no session is open, the system menu bar, toolbar, status bar and Start page appear.
The Classic MDI interface provides the following features:
You can move, resize, minimize, maximize, or close a session window.
When a session is open, the menu bar, toolbars, and status bar are displayed for the selected session.
For each session type, the default menu bar contains a Window menu that allows the user to title the session windows horizontally or vertically, and cascade the session windows. It also displays the open session list for user to select.
You can modify menu and toolbars using the UI Designer, the same as in Ribbon mode.
You can move a toolbar to a different location of the Workspace or move out of the Workspace. The last location is saved with the session file.
Support for existing InfoConnect layout files (.aww). Changes are saved to a new layout file, using the .wrsp file format.
Web sessions open in the default Web browser.
