When planning an Operations Bridge Suite deployment, OPTIC Data Lake is a main component and sizing and scaling it is important for a successful implementation.
SiteScope (SiS) is one of the Operations Bridge data collectors that can send metrics to the OPTIC Data Lake. Currently, the OPTIC sizing calculator (can be found in System Requirements, make sure you select your version) tries to estimate the load of SiS monitors data based on few parameters (such as monitor’s frequency and average counters per monitor). In many cases the customer already has SiS deployed and then we can calculate exactly how many metrics will be sent, and later use that input for the OPTIC sizing calculator.
