Data Protector uses scripts to perform backup and restore of Postgres Professional data using the pg_probackup utility. These scripts are used as pre/post- execution scripts in filesystem backup specifications. The package contains a readme that describes how the scripts can be configured and used with Data Protector.
Prerequisites
The following prerequisites apply:
- Ensure that the Data Protector Cell Manager and Disk Agent version is 2020.05 or later.
- Ensure that Postgres Professional server 11.5.4 is running on RHEL 7.x and SLES 12.x as Data Protector supports Postgres Professional database backup on those platforms.
- Install the pg_probackup utility on the Postgres Professional server, initialize the backup catalog of the utility and add the backup instance.
