Description

NetIQ AppManager is an IT operations management tool. It provides an easy to use console for the IT operations teams to view and monitor the critical servers and applications in their IT environment. Using the NetIQ AppManager the users can view, automate tasks, gather the performance data and troubleshoot the issues for their IT resources. Operations Connector (OpsCx) for NetIQ AppManager integrates NetIQ AppManager and Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) so that the gathered data about the events and topology from the NetIQ AppManager environment is made available to the OBM solution. Operations Connector (OpsCx) for NetIQ AppManager provides the following functionality:

  • Connection to NetIQ AppManager Control Center Database (CCDB) and the associated member databases(QDB) through the OBM server. Collection of the events data from the QDB.
  • QDB discovery - Discovery of the CCDB node and the associated QDB(s) of the NetIQ AppManager integration environment.
  • Topology discovery - retrieves data about the monitored nodes in the NetIQ AppManager integration environment.
  • Ability to view topology data of the root and corresponding child nodes of NetIQ AppManager for Microsoft Windows. You can view detailed topology for WinOS objects in OBM
  • Event data of drill down topology node
  • Storage of NetIQ AppManager metrics in COSO Data Lake
  • You can send metrics from AppManager database (QDB) to COSO Data Lake

Connector for NetIQ AppManager introduces the following new features:

  • NetIQ AppManager schema alignment with COSO data lake NetIQ AppManager schema is now updated to align with the latest COSO guidelines which are implemented to standardize the naming conventions for schemas. The schema creation in Vertica database will be done manually or via Container Administration Services (CAS).
  • View NT metrics on BVD With this release, you can view the NT metrics from NetIQ AppManager such as CPU, memory, disk, and network on Business Value Dashboard (BVD). The consolidated data from COSO is processed and sent to BVD where you can create your own dashboards to view these metrics.
