Description

BMC Truesight Operations Manager (BMC TSOM) monitoring provides all the information you need to understand your service levels, system availability and the availability of key business transactions. Operations Bridge Integration for BMC Truesight Operations Manager is aligned to best practices from both vendors. The collection process is very flexible and adjustable to the dimensions of the monitored environment. We gather all the valuable data from BMC TSOM, process it and deliver it suited to the Micro Focus Ops Bridge universe. Based on the opinion of our customers and subject matter experts, we included in the collection process the following:

  • Topology: Computer Systems from BMC TrueSight OM are reported as nodes to RTSM. Their related ip_address CIs are also reported. Data is collected via configurable scheduled polling (1 day default). Data is send to Topology REST policy deployed on OA.
  • Events: Events from BMC TrueSight OM are reported as events to OBM. Data is collected via configurable scheduled polling (1 minute default). Event correlation and close key are supported. Events are resolved to the corresponding CIs from the topology. Data is send to Events REST policy deployed on OA.
  • Metrics: Metrics from BMC TrueSight OM are reported to OBM. Metrics are only hourly aggregated. Data is collected via configurable scheduled polling (1 hour default). Metrics are related to the corresponding CIs from the topology. Data is send to Metrics REST policy deployed on OA.
