Virtualisation Performance Content for OBR provides in depth historical reporting and analytics capabilities for heterogeneous virtualisation environments. OBR Virtualisation Performance reporting content addresses both virtual hosts(eg. VMware ESX Servers, IBM Frames) and logical system/guest/virtual machine (VM) performance trends, inventory of the virtualised environment, VM host and VM Guest Views, utilisation and much more.
The content is divided into two parts: - Generic virtualisation reports which contain reports for all heterogeneous virtualisation technologies - Specialised Reports for Specific Virtualisation Technologies and hypervisors such as VMware
Generic Virtualisation Reports: Generic virtualisation reports show summarised reports of heterogeneous Virtualisation technologies. OBR normalises different performance metrics and Virtualisation terminologies such as Logical Systems/Guests (VM) and Physical Systems/Hosts (VM Host) to provide a complete view of all heterogeneous Virtual Infrastructure in IT. There are also Inventory reports for combined Physical and Virtual Infrastructure which can be viewed from the perspective of a Business View, Service, Application or Groups. Some of the generic virtualisation reports of OBR include: Virtualisation Host Inventory, Guest Inventory, Logical System performance Summary, Logical System performance details, Top and Bottom N Logical Systems, Top and Bottom N Physical Host Systems, and Virtualisation Resource outage forecast. Specialised Virtualisation Technology report for VMware: OBR provides in-depth reporting for VMware including a specialised collector for vCenter for collecting VMware topology and metrics. Alternatively Operations Agent or Site Scope can also be used as a metrics and topology provider.
