OBM Management Pack is a simplified, next-generation, end-to-end monitoring solution for infrastructure and application infrastructure. With automated discovery and deployment, simplified configuration and out of the box content, OBM Management Packs provide capabilities to proactively monitor application performance and availability, troubleshoot, and re-mediate issues across the applications in your IT Environment. Out of the box content such as views, predefined thresholds, correlation rules, graphs & reports ensure that your application infrastructure is brought under the monitoring umbrella with minimal effort.
The OBM Management Pack for Infrastructure (OBM MP for Infrastructure) works with Operations Bridge Manager (OBM) and enables you to seamlessly monitor the various systems operating in a data center environment. It includes Indicators - Health Indicators (HIs), Event Type Indicators (ETIs) and Correlation Rules that analyze and categorize the events occurring in the systems and report the health status of the systems. It also includes Management Templates for monitoring the availability, health, and performance of individual systems, clusters, and virtual nodes. These Management Templates consists of a wide range of Aspects which enable monitoring the system components.
The Management Templates can be seamlessly deployed by administrators for monitoring the systems in any environment. The Management Templates can also be easily customized by subject matter experts (SMEs) and developers to suit different monitoring requirements.
Log streaming is supported from Operations Bridge Manager 10.61(or later) and Operations Agent 12.03 (or later) versions. OBM MP for Infrastructure provides System Log Collection aspect that enables the streaming of structured logs for Linux-based system logs. The System Log Collection Aspect and the related policies are available as OBM MP for Infrastructure AddOn 02.00.000 package.
