Most organizations these days have an on-premises canteen which caters for staff and visitors. This canteen typically includes daily specials as well as ad-hoc items for employees. The purpose of this application introduces the capability into SMAX to provide requesting these items in a managed digital environment. From a processing perspective the following activities are part of the application:
• Weekly Specials The weekly specials are identified and added to the Weekly Specials Module, once completed, and reviewed the specials needs to be published. This then creates each of the menu options as selectable entities for the Menu Management module as well as creating a News article to be published on the day and time identified as part of the special definition.
• Menu Management This module is responsible for presenting available options to the end consumer via the Service Portal. The service offerings available from the Service Portal references and displays only items that are in the Active state. The service offerings available as part of this application are:
o Have the munchies
o Order Breakfast
o Order Lunch
The options presented to the consumer on the Service Portal will differ based on the workflow.
• Order Management The purpose of this module is to receive the orders, review them, define accuracy and then to process the order either by sending it to the kitchen for preparation or to gather the products as part of the order in readiness to dispatch.
