All attendees will need to arrive on Monday, November 11. A Manager Orientation starts at 12:30 PM and the Opening Keynote starts at 3:00 PM.
If you are an executive or manage a sales or presales team, please book travel accordingly to ensure that you are available for the mandatory managers meeting Monday, November 11 at 12:30 PM. You will receive a separate invite with more details.
Those attending the NA/Gov Sales Track should depart Thursday, November 14 in the afternoon or evening. The NA/Gov Sales Track closing session ends at 12:30 PM on Thursday.
Those attending the NA/Gov Technical Track should depart Friday, November 15. The NA/Gov Technical Track closing session ends at 12:30 PM on Friday.
When you register, you will be linked to the Gaylord Hotel & Resort site where you will make your hotel reservations (see arrival and departure dates). Single rooms will be assigned to all attendees. Each attendee is responsible for paying for their room, tax, and incidental charges associated with their hotel stay. At check-in you will need to provide a credit card that can be charged for these items. Following the summit, you can expense the costs for the approved nights of stay. If you do not have a credit card, please notify your manager to find a workable solution.
Note: Attendees will not be allowed to request reimbursement for additional hotel nights outside the approved summit dates unless it has been approved in advance by your manager.
You are responsible for updating the hotel with any changes to your reservation using either the web link or the phone number published on the registration web site.
The negotiated hotel rate for a standard room is $199.00 (US) plus tax. Please be sure to check your bill to ensure you have not been over-charged when you check out of the hotel. It's always best to get a final copy of your bill before you depart so you can resolve charges while on-site.
Check-in for the hotel is 4:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00 AM.
Attendees are responsible for booking their own travel to/from the NA/Gov + Vertica GTM Summit in accordance with company and local office guidelines. If you have received an official invite to the 2020 GTM Summit, you do not need to request additional approvals for travel beyond the standard company travel policy and guidelines.
If you plan to travel before or after the official summit dates (whether business or personal), you will need manager approval.
Please use the standard company travel booking procedures for travel using the Concur Self Booking Tool. Be sure to select Sales Summit as Purpose of Trip.
Company travel policies, contacts and information can be found on the company intranet using this link: https://microfocusinternational.sharepoint.com/sites/travel/Pages/travel.aspx
Uber is the official mode of ground transportation for the NA/Gov + Vertica GTM Summit, and should be used for ground transportation between the airport and the Gaylord Texan. If you choose not to use Uber, Taxi costs to/from the hotel/airport run about $35. We encourage you to rideshare with fellow employees if you are able. Be sure to save your receipt so that you can expense this cost after the summit.
If you have not yet signed up for a Corporate Uber account, details are provided on the SharePoint here:https://microfocusinternational.sharepoint.com/sites/corp/Pages/introducing-uber-for-business.aspx
Another option is to use the Gaylord’s shared transportation services which depart from the DFW Airport every 30 minutes (at every hour and half hour) between 5:00 AM – 8:00 PM daily. The fee is $17 per person. Guests arriving to DFW Airport should call 817-778-2400 to book their transportation to the hotel. Guests departing from the hotel to DFW Airport can also call to make a reservation, or simply walk up to the transportation podium on the front drive.
Renting a car is not recommended and will be at your own expense. Rental car costs will not be reimbursed.
Breakfast and lunch are provided on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for all attendees. Breakfast is provided on Friday for those attending the Technical Track. Most meals will be served buffet style with a wide variety of items to complement individual nutritional needs (i.e. vegan, vegetarian, gluten free).
Tuesday Evening Group Dinners – Check back for more details on dinners and evening events.
Wednesday Evening Event – Join your colleagues for dinner and entertainment featuring the band, Lone Star Attitude, at the Gaylord Texan Resort's exclusive waterfront venue, Glass Cactus. Here, you’ll enjoy stunning features and modern design aesthetics inspired by nature with a massive lake view that will take your breath away whether you're inside the building or enjoying a beverage on the expansive outdoor patio.
Attire is casual (jeans okay) and you need your name badge for entry.
Note: You will not be able to expense any meals that are already being provided as part of the summit. Thus, it is important that you attend all planned meals unless the meal is specified for a particular group that you are not part of.
