HPE ArcSight Data Platform Achieves Record Customer Growth

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Software announced today that its flagship HPE ArcSight Data Platform (ADP), a big data analytics solution for intelligent Security Operations enabling real-time cyber-threat detection, has grown 300 percent in customer adoption over the past year. The solution provides customers with an open architecture that collects, enriches, searches, and analyzes security data across the organization.

“Our customers are demanding an open architecture for big data security analytics due to the sheer volume and variety of security data being managed across their organizations,” said Jason Schmitt, Vice President and General Manager for HPE ArcSight and Fortify, HPE Software. “An open architecture can efficiently and effectively scale and extract critical security insights from data lakes, IoT systems, endpoints, servers, cloud and mobile devices, and we are proud to be one of the companies leading the charge across the industry.”

ADP offers a future-ready solution that enriches data in real-time and supports open standards for better threat detection. With an intelligent Event Broker message bus built on a foundation of Apache Kafka, it ingests and brokers data from any source providing customers with visibility across their organizations. ADP also provides the foundation for security information and event management (SIEM) solutions such as HPE ArcSight Enterprise Security Manager (ESM), while bundling critical components such as the Event Broker, data connectors, logger, and the HPE ArcSight Management Console.

“Hackers are more sophisticated today than ever before and we need the best analytics and intelligence tools to secure our business,” said João Galdino Mello de Souza, Information Security Manager, Saraiva. “ArcSight’s open architecture solution gives us the flexibility to use the applications that best suit our requirements.”

An open architecture also enables customers to integrate ADP with hundreds of security solutions, including HPE ArcSight Investigate, a next generation hunt and investigation solution built on an advanced analytics platform to serve the evolving needs of security teams. HPE ArcSight Investigate helps security professionals hunt and defeat unknown threats by processing large volumes of data almost instantly. Security analysts are empowered with an intuitive solution to investigate higher-priority threats quickly and accurately to drive real value.

Customers can see live demonstrations of recent innovations in ADP, ESM and ArcSight Investigate at our upcoming Protect Conference in Washington, DC on September 11-13, 2017.
