SANTA CLARA, CA, – February 16, 2021 – Micro Focus (LSE: MCRO; NYSE: MFGP) today recognized the election of Lars Rossen, Micro Focus Global CTO, and Etienne Terpstra-Hollander, Micro Focus Global Chief Technologist Digital Transformation Advisory Services, to key leadership positions in The Open Group, the vendor-neutral technology consortium.
Rossen was elected to serve as the Chair of The Open Group Governing Board, while Terpstra-Hollander was re-elected to the Vice-Chair position for The Open Group IT4IT™ Forum.

About Lars Rossen, Chair of The Open Group Governing Board
Rossen is the Global CTO of Micro Focus and the Chief Architect of The Open Group IT4IT™ Forum initiative. He is responsible for creating the first version of the IT4IT Reference Architecture which he contributed to The Open Group, forming the basis for the IT4IT Standard today. In his role as Chair of the Governing Board, he will help lead the development of open, vendor-neutral technology standards and certifications, including the IT4IT Standard, the TOGAF® Standard, the ArchiMate® Modelling Language, Digital Practitioner Body of Knowledge™ Standard and more. Before he was appointed Global CTO of Micro Focus in 2020, he worked on the Software Portfolio Architecture and Strategy team, where he had many leading roles in defining and progressing the current Micro Focus IT management solution portfolio.
Etienne Terpstra-Hollander, IT4IT Forum Vice-Chair, The Open Group
Terpstra-Hollander was recently re-elected as the Vice-Chair for the IT4IT Forum. As Vice-Chair, he supports the elected co-chairs in facilitating and coordinating the development of the standard. This involves enhancing the effectiveness of the IT4IT Forum and the associated Work Groups by formulating recommendations and sharing these for approval. Terpstra-Hollander is currently the Global Chief Technologist for the Digital Transformation Advisory Services at Micro Focus and is responsible for defining the company’s Professional Services strategy and offerings for Advisory Services. He also works on the worldwide GTM strategy for which he applies the IT4IT Standard in the Micro Focus Professional Services offerings. In addition, he is an advisor within the Micro Focus Field Technical Leadership Community and has over 20 years’ experience in IT Management in various positions.
