Share

INSPIRE 20 is an Ongoing Series of Conversations with Industry Executives Advocating for Inclusion and Diversity in their Own Industries, Organizations or Communities

NEWBURY, UK – 2 June 2020 – Micro Focus (LSE: MCRO; NYSE: MFGP) today announced the launch of INSPIRE 20, a podcast series highlighting industry leaders and experts who are creating lasting change, accelerating initiatives or have a unique point of view around inclusion and diversity (I&D). The first episode will debut on June 1 and feature Adriana Gascoigne, founder and CEO of Girls in Tech.

As part of Micro Focus INSPIRE, a corporate social responsibility program, Micro Focus is committed to helping address the lack of diversity in the technology industry starting with the classroom and leading to the boardroom. INSPIRE 20 will showcase 20 executives from around the world who are making an impact in D&I, and it will ensure that Micro Focus is bringing new perspectives into the organization for  employees, customers and suppliers.

“No single action or organization alone can address the lack of diversity in our industry,” said Genefa Murphy, Chief Marketing Officer at Micro Focus. “We believe it is key to engage in multi-faceted, multi-stakeholder partnerships that help address the challenges that may impede progression so that inclusion and diversity can thrive at all levels. INPSIRE 20 is an attempt at shining a light on the principles and values industry executives are implementing to inspire change within the enterprise so that comfortable consensus doesn’t become the accepted norm.”

Diversity and inclusion, amongst other social responsibility topics, can be forgotten priorities in the corporate world. Micro Focus supports the research that shows that diverse teams make better decisions, are more creative at finding alternatives to problems and are overall more likely to produce better outcomes.
