Starting Fileshare

Start a Fileshare Server to service the file requests. We will be creating a server called JSRV01. For teaching purposes, we will be running this in foreground so that we can view tracing information from the server process as each client connects. For this reason, you will want to perform these steps in a separate window.

• Set up the name of the CCI server:

  export CCITCP2=`uname –n`

• Start Fileshare Server:

  fs –s JSRV01

You will see a message about Fileshare Server starting and the protocol being used.

• Turn on tracing by pressing your F2 key
