To start Visual COBOL as an administrator

Depending on the files you create or edit using Visual COBOL, you might need to start Visual COBOL as an administrator. To do this:

Windows 10

1. From your Windows desktop, click Start > Micro Focus Visual COBOL.
2. Right-click Visual COBOL for Eclipse.
3. On the context menu, click More > Run as administrator.

Windows 11

• Click the Start button in the Task Bar. Use the search field in the Start menu to locate Visual COBOL > Visual COBOL for Eclipse. Right-click the product icon, and click Run as administrator.
