COBCH1801 - COBCH1820

Lists the Syntax Checking error messages from COBCH1801 through COBCH1820.

COBCH1801 A set property cannot override a get property
COBCH1802 A table initializer expression cannot be a receiving item
COBCH1803 USAGE BINARY Length specifier cannot be less than 1 or greater than 16
A data item declared as USAGE BINARY that contains a length specifier has specified an incorrect value.
COBCH1804 A non-BINARY usage should not have a length specifier
A non-BINARY usage data item has been declared with a length specifier.
COBCH1805 A STATIC class cannot have PROTECTED members
The program contains a static class that includes protected members. This is not allowed.
COBCH1806 Feature not supported in selected charset
COBCH1807 SET SIZE UP DOWN can only be used for single dimensional tables
The program contains the syntax SET SIZE OF table-name UP/DOWN BY … that is not within a single-dimensional array. This is not allowed.
COBCH1808 SORT operand is not an array
The program contains a SORT statement that doesn't reference a sort file or an array. This is not allowed.
COBCH1810 Cannot specify a namespace in nested type names
The program includes a nested class, the name of which contains a namespace, for example, the period (.) character. This is not allowed.
COBCH1811 Cannot specify '+' character in type names
The program contains a type name that includes the + (plus sign) character in the specification of a nested type. This is not allowed.
COBCH1812 Operand is not a condition name (level 88 item)
The program contains an operand that is not a level 88 item (condition name). For example, if the first operand in a SET statement is a condition name, then all other targets must also be condition names.
COBCH1813 class-name does not have public implementation of indexer indexer-name of interface interface-name
The class indicated is declared as implementing an interface including an indexer, and that indexer is not implemented by the class.
COBCH1814 The RETURNING phrase is not allowed with PROPERTY-ID and INDEXER-ID
A RETURNING phrase has been specified in the method signature of a property or an indexer.
COBCH1815 The expression is always of the specified type type-name
The program contains an INSTANCE OF type-name condition specified for a value type operand, and the operand type and type-name are the same. This is not allowed.
COBCH1816 Anonymous method can only be used where a suitable delegate type can be inferred.
The program contains an anonymous method used in a context other than that which can be mapped onto a suitable delegate type. This is not allowed.
COBCH1817 Method group can only be used where a suitable delegate type can be inferred.
The program contains a method group used where no suitable delegate type can be inferred.
COBCH1818 Cannot be used with anonymous method
Syntax found in an anonymous method is illegal.
COBCH1819 This syntax is not available with this version of Java - requires Java 8 or above
COBCH1820 A STATIC class cannot inherit from another class or implement an interface
The program contains a static class, for example, a class that contains no instance members, that inherits from another class or from an implement interface. This is not allowed.
