Relational Database Management Systems Support

Restriction: This topic applies only when a Database Connectors license has been installed via the Micro Focus License Management System.

Database Connectors supports the following Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS):

Oracle
DB2
MIcrosoft SQL Server
ODBC

RDBMS Support includes the following:

¹ Database Connectors supports the base version and all incremental updates to that base version.

Database Connectors uses standard COBOL I/O statements to access databases. It handles the translation between standard COBOL and the SQL used by the RDBMS.

Specific instructions and status messages apply to each type of RDBMS, and these are included in their own RDBMS-specific sections.
