To import an existing Eclipse project

To import a project stored on your local machine or on a remote machine when using the network file system (NFS) connection type:

1. Click File > Import > General.
2. Click Existing Projects into Workspace.

   You can edit the project directly in its original location or choose to create a copy of the project in the workspace.

If you are importing a remote project and you use the RSE or SSH connection types:

1. Before you start the import, Visual COBOL create a remote connection to the remote host where the project to be imported resides.

   This must be the same connection type (i.e. SSH or RSE) that was used to previously access the remote project.

2. Click File > Import > Micro Focus > Remote Projects.
3. Click Browse.
4. Set Connection to the one required to access the project you are about to import.
   Note: If the connection does not already exist, click New and use the New Connection wizard to create the required connection.
5. Select the directory that contains the projects you want to import, then click OK.
6. Select the project(s) to import, and then click Finish.
   Restriction: It is not possible to import remote mainframe projects that use the RSE file system.

   The selected projects are imported into the current workspace.
