You can configure code analysis and specify which rules are enabled for a rule set and which rules and rule sets appear on
the context menus. You can also import new rules and rule sets.
- In the IDE, click
Analyze >
Micro Focus Code Analysis Manager.
- Click the available tabs to specify the following options:
- Rule Sets Manager
- Use the available check boxes to specify which rules will be active within each rule set.
- Context Menu Commands
- Click either
Rule Sets or
Rules and use the arrows to specify what rules and rule sets should be visible on the context menu as favourite options.
- Use the field to add import new rules and rule sets into the IDE.
To import new rules and rule sets:
- In the
Micro Focus Code Analysis Manager dialog box, click
Browse next to
Folder for additional rules definition files.
- Navigate to and select the folder that stores the files with your custom rules, then click
Select Folder.
- Click
Update.
This loads the rules in the IDE.
- Click the
Context Menu Commands tab, and then click
Rules.
- Use the arrow buttons to move any rules to the
Rules shown under 'Code Analysis' menu pane.
These rules will be available from the context menu.
