Accessing the Enterprise Server Administration UI

Restriction: This topic applies only when the Enterprise Server feature is enabled.

Providing the MF Directory Server is running, you can access the user interface directly from a web browser:

Open a Web browser and enter the URL http://targetname:86. Where targetname is the machine on which Enterprise Server Administration is running. For example, if Enterprise Server Administration is running on your local machine, enter http://localhost:86.
Enterprise Server Administration opens with the Home page. If user access is restricted, you must logon before you can access any other features.

Windows: You can also access Enterprise Server Administration from the Start menu. The option varies depending on the Micro Focus product you are using. For example, for Visual COBOL, you can choose the following option: Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Visual COBOL > Configuration > Enterprise Server Administration

If you have Visual COBOL installed, there are two alternative methods of accessing Enterprise Server Administration on your local machine:

In the IDE, in Server Explorer, right-click localhost:86 and choose Open Administration Page from the context menu.
Click Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Visual COBOL > Configuration > Enterprise Server Administration

If you see the message "The Page cannot be displayed", it might be that the Directory Server has stopped and needs restarting.
