To start
ESCWA on Windows:
- Run
services.msc to open the Windows Service Manager.
- In the Services list, click
Micro Focus Enterprise Server Common Web Administration.
Note: The service has a default startup type of
Manual.
Micro Focus recommends that you do not change this to
Automatic until you have configured your security managers.
- To start the
ESCWA service, click
Start.
- Once the service is running you can access the Web interface with the following URL
http:localhost:10004/
Note: On the first occasion you access the Web interface, two warning messages will be displayed:
- The ESCWA server is not TLS-enabled. Communications across the network will not be encrypted. Micro Focus recommends that
you enable TLS settings as soon as possible.
- Access and administration of the ESCWA server is not restricted. Micro Focus recommends that you configure user access as
soon as possible.
To start
ESCWA on UNIX:
- From a command prompt, change directory to
$COBDIR/bin. This is typically located at
/opt/microfocus/VisualCOBOL/bin, and type:
. cobsetenv
escwa &
- Once the process is running you can access the Web interface with the following URL
http:localhost:10004/
