Server Explorer is
a window in Visual Studio that enables you to connect to servers, as well as view and access their resources.
If Server Explorer is not displayed, click
View >
Server Explorer or
View >
Other Windows >
Server Explorer.
Server Explorer shows the following server nodes:
- Micro Focus Analysis Server - shows the connection to an
Enterprise Analyzer or
COBOL Analyzer analysis server. See
Code Analysis > Application Analysis Server for details.
- Micro Focus Servers - this is the connection to an
Enterprise Server Common Web Administration. Shows the available Directory Servers, and
enterprise server regions.
From Server Explorer you can:
- Connect to an
Enterprise Server Common Web Administration.
- View and add Micro Focus Directory Servers, and access the
enterprise server regions.
- Create, delete, start, and stop
enterprise server regions.
- Run and monitor
Enterprise Server Applications.
- Access the enterprise server administration facilities.
Note: You can also perform some of these tasks from within Solution Explorer and the context-menu commands available at project
level.
