Using IMTK technology, Visual COBOL can generate both Web services and COBOL console clients directly from WSDL, JSON, or YAML. Web services generated in this manner use default mappings.
You can generate both Web services and clients from the Visual Studio IDE. In addition, you can generate COBOL console clients from the command line using the imtkmake command.
