To start a COBOL Server command prompt as an administrator

Windows 7 and Earlier

1. From your Windows desktop, click Start > All Programs > Micro Focus COBOL Server > Tools.
2. Depending on your operating system, right-click either Micro Focus COBOL Server Command Prompt (32-bit) or Micro Focus COBOL Server Command Prompt (64-bit); then select Run as administrator from the context menu.
3. If prompted, click Yes.

Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows Server 2012

1. From the Windows Start screen, right-click either the Micro Focus COBOL Server Command Prompt (32-bit) or the Micro Focus COBOL Server Command Prompt (64-bit) tile.
2. On the bottom of the page, click Run as administrator.
3. If prompted, click Yes.

Windows 10 and Later

• From your Windows desktop, click Start > Micro Focus Micro Focus COBOL Server > Micro Focus COBOL Server Command Prompt (32-bit) or Command Prompt (64-bit) > More > Run as Administrator.

Windows 11

• Open Windows Terminal on your machine, and click Open a new tab. From the drop-down menu you can select either Micro Focus Micro Focus COBOL Server Command Prompt (32-bit) or the Micro Focus Micro Focus COBOL Server Command Prompt (64-bit). Press Ctrl when you click the item to run as administrator.
