Configuring JBoss

To install the JVM COBOL run-time system (mfcobolrts.jar) in JBoss 7.1.1 or later, you must configure it as a module of the application server.

Set the environment variable JBOSS_HOME to point to the JBOSS application server installation location, for example: /usr/jboss/jboss-as-7.1.1.
Create the following folder structure: JBOSS_HOME/modules/com/microfocus/cobol/runtime/main.
Copy mfcobolrts.jar from the $COBDIR/bin folder to the main folder created in the previous step.

In the main folder, create a new file called module.xml, and add the following to it:

    <dependencies>
        <module name="javaee.api"/>
    </dependencies>
    <resources>
        <resource-root path="mfcobolrts.jar"/>
    </resources>
</module>

The main folder should contain the following files:

mfcobolrts.jar
module.xml
