Depending on the files you create or edit using
Visual COBOL, you might need to start
Visual COBOL as an administrator. To do this:
- Windows 7 and Earlier

- From your desktop, click
Start > All Programs > Micro Focus Visual COBOL.
- Right-click
Visual COBOL for Visual Studio 2013; then select
Run as administrator from the context menu.
- If prompted, click
Yes.
- Windows 8, 8.1, and Windows Server 2012

- From the
Start screen, right-click the
Visual COBOL for Visual Studio 2013 tile.
- On the bottom of the page, click
Run as administrator.
- If prompted, click
Yes.
- Windows 10 and Later

- Click
Start > Micro Focus
Visual COBOL.
- Right-click
Visual COBOL for Visual Studio 2013.
- On the context menu, click
More > Run as administrator.
