To use legacy Enterprise Server MSS Security

To use legacy MSS security without security managers
1. Simply remove all security managers from the security manager list that the enterprise server uses.

2. Legacy security is only active if you have checked the Local ES Security enabled option for the default ESMAC user (usually called mfuser). To do this:
  1. Start the enterprise server.

  2. In the table of servers on the Home page of Enterprise Server Administration, find the row for the server that you are using and click Edit in the left hand column.
  3. Click Control and the ES Monitor & Control.
  4. Click Users and then New.
  5. Define a user with the name mfuser. Select check box 1 against Security Keys and ensure all other Security Key check boxes are cleared. Click Add.
  6. Check Local ES Security enabled and click Apply.
  7. Using the procedure described in Step e, define users with the following names:
    - CICSUSER
    - IMSUSER
    - JESUSER
  Note:
  You can specify the name for the default user through the use of the following environment variables:

To use the legacy MSS security through a security manager
1. Add a security manager definition to the security manager pool.

  Give the entry a suitable name and specify casesm as the module to be used.
2. If you wish to access the legacy user definitions through ES Monitor & Control (ESMAC), you must check the Local ES Security enabled option for the default ESMAC user as described in Step 2 of the section above. If you do not do this, the ESMAC Users button will not be available.
3. Add the security manager to the security manager list that the enterprise server uses.
