When you run an application deployed to Server Enterprise Edition, the License Manager software check the number and type of licenses installed. Unlicensed applications will not run.
- .NET Managed Code
- The License Manager checks for the existence of a valid license for .NET managed code applications.
- .NET
- The existence of a valid .NET license is checked for when .NET applications are run. .NET applications will not run if a .NET license is not installed.
- Windows:
- The number of installed licences in use are checked. In order to continue running your applications without licensing issues, you need to monitor your license usage manually, such as by running the AppTrack Current Usage report. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are properly licensed.

- License usage warnings are customizable on UNIX. See Monitoring Usage of Server Enterprise Edition Licenses.
