Applications that use Server Enterprise Edition require Server Enterprise Edition licenses. You need to:
- Install the licenses
- Set a password on the license database to protect it from misuse
- Monitor the use of the licenses so that you are forewarned of reaching your license limit
- Stop and restart the license manager service as necessary (not required for .NET managed code applications
- Investigate any problems and rectify them
You use the License Administration utility, AppTrack, to install and monitor licenses. For a concise report on the number and type of licenses installed, you can use the License checking utility, MFLicenseCheck.
