The available configuration settings for listener objects depend on the listener’s conversation type. Settings are grouped by conversation type.
Some conversation types use TCP/IP protocol, and some use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format. The format that the conversation uses is shown on the Legacy Micro Focus Application Format checkbox. If the Legacy Micro Focus Application Format checkbox is unchecked, the conversation uses TCP/IP protocol. For the conversation types:
- Web Services and J2EE does not use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
- Web does not use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
- Fileshare uses Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
- TN3270 does not use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
- MSS Inter-System Communication does not use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
- MSS Inter-System Communication (inbound only) uses Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
- CICS Transaction Gateway does not use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
- Custom Format: with this type, you can choose whether or not to use Legacy Micro Focus Application Format.
